Mentoring Central Supports the Impact of Mentoring
President proclaims January as National Mentoring Month
Durham, NC â President Barack Obama has proclaimed January as National Mentoring Month. The annual public awareness campaign, launched in 2002, promotes youth mentoring in the United States. Mentoring Central joins the Harvard School of Public Health, MENTOR, the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, United Way Worldwide, and the Corporation for National and Community Service, among others, to celebrate the campaign and help bring awareness to the need for positive adult role models for youth.
